Nam set up the Sunday title match with Kenny De Schepper after overcoming a series of Schepper’s fellow countrymen, including Paul Cayre (first round, 6-2, 7-5), Antoine Vincent (second round, 7-5, 6-3), Maxence Broville (quarterfinals, 6-4, 6-2) and Harold Mayot (semifinals, 7-5, 3-1).
Kenny De Schepper is a veteran player of French tennis. He once climbed to number 64 in the ATP rankings in April 2014, and currently ranks 532nd. The 34-year-old player has competed in the world’s most prestigious tennis tournaments, from ATP 1000 to Grand Slam.
Given his superior experience, Kenny De Schepper comfortably finished off Ly Hoang Nam in two straight sets of 6-3, 6-3 to win the overall trophy.

Despite missing out on the top honour, Ly Hoang Nam still earned 12 ATP rating points for his presence in the final match, which is expected to bring him back to the ATP top 500.
After the French tournament, the Vietnamese ace will continue to participate in two M15 events in Chiang Rai, Thailand from April 4 to 17, as part of his preparations for the forthcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games this May.
