The annual award, the third of its kind, aims to honour trade union officials with high responsibility at work and excellent working performance who have made creative initiatives and solutions to renovate workers’ movements and trade union operations.
This year’s award winners stood out among 63 nominees from across the country.
Speaking at the event, VGCL President Nguyen Dinh Khang said that despite different age groups and working positions, all of the honourees have shown great enthusiasm and creativity at work, and paid greater care to trade union members, thus winning the trust of their colleagues and workers as well as recognition from leaders of the authorities and enterprises.
He expressed his hope that trade union officers will continue to study, follow President Ho Chi Minh’s example, and work harder to ensure the legitimate rights of labourers and their social welfare interests.
