According to the Treatment Sub-Committee under the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, among the 10 patients, seven were released from the Binh Thuan General Hospital and three others from Can Gio COVID-19 Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
The seven patients announced as recovered today in Binh Thuan include patient No. 34, who was the first reported case in the south central province and who transmitted the disease to several other family members. The others are patients No. 37, 38, 40, 41, 42 and 43.
After more than three weeks of treatment, only two COVID-19 patients are still being treated at the Binh Thuan provincial general hospital.
Meanwhile, the Can Gio acute respiratory disease hospital in Ho Chi Minh City also released patients No. 99, 100 and 121 today, following full recovery.
The 10 patients will continue to be quarantined and have their health monitored over the next 14 days.
By the morning of April 3, Vietnam had had 233 COVID-19 cases, including 85 who have fully recovered.

Delegates said that Vietnam has entered the third day of implementing the Prime Minister's Directive No. 16 on strict nationwide social distancing rules, starting April 1, with unanimous support and earnest implementation from people across the country.
According to Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, the PM’s order is an important solution issued at completely preventing COVID-19 infection in the community. The directive, which takes effect for 15 days from April 1 to 15, offers a "golden period" to minimise infectious disease in the community, Long said, adding that if it is drastically implemented, Vietnam will definitely control the epidemic.
According to the Ministry of Health, the nation is still in good control of the disease, so it needs to ensure the stability other socio-economic activities. Depending on the evolution of the disease, appropriate recommendations and requirements will be made from the ministry. It is proposed that the relevant authorities continue to urge people to strictly implement the regulations on social distancing and maintain disease prevention measures as recommended by the health sector.
* Nearly 2,000 people have completed their 14-day quarantine period, showing two negative test results for SARS-CoV-2 virus before leaving Ho Chi Minh City's concentrated isolation camps to go home, announced the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Disease Control on April 3.
According to doctor Nguyen Tri Dung, the director of the centre, these cases had two negative tests for SARS-CoV-2, including one negative test before leaving quarantine areas. However, the health sector still requires them to isolate themselves for another 14 days at home. As of 12 pm on April 3, the city recorded 50 COVID-19 cases, of which 18 have been reported as recovered.
* At 0:00 on April 3, the two roads of Hoang Van Thu and Ngo Si Lien in Duc Thang Ward, Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan Province) were officially cleared from a 21-day medical blockage to prevent COVID-19 spread.

The two streets were isolated from 0:00 on March 13 according to a decision of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, as three COVID-19 patients were detected in the neighbourhoods from March 11 to 12. All of them had a close relationship with patient No. 34 who was detected on March 10.
During the quarantine period, 21 households with 73 people were treated by local authorities with the prescribed regulations and measures on disease surveillance and prevention and were offered all necessities free of charge. People in the quarantine areas were tested for COVID-19 and the results were all negative. Thus, after 21 days of isolation without any new infections, the local people have officially returned to normal life.
