According to the dispatch signed by the PM on September 7, the PM requested the ten provinces and cities of Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh and Hoa Binh to be ready to assist Hanoi in rapid testing, classification of F0 cases, treatment of COVID-19 patients, tracing of F1 cases, and organisation of vaccination.
The government leader also asked all ministries, agencies, and localities to ensure social security and order and handle violations in the pandemic prevention and control.
He also directed the adequate supply of food, necessities, and medicines for residents in Ho Chi Minh City during social distancing period.
* On September 7, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam worked with Tan Binh and Phu Nhuan Districts in Ho Chi Minh City regarding COVID-19 testing, social security issues, and the reopening of several business activities.
Leaders of 15 wards in Tan Binh District are committed to controlling the pandemic by September 15.
*On the same day, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung asked for adjustments to the issuance of travel approval documents for commuters towards accepting both old and newly issued documents to facilitate the people.
* Hanoi has fulfilled 81.78% of its target to collect one million samples for mass COVID-19 testing, according to the municipal Department of Health.
The mass testing work is being carried out in the city with the aim of separating infections from the community and assessing the level of risk in each area for designing appropriate pandemic prevention and control measures.
The capital city documented four new COVID-19 cases in the 12 hours prior to 6am on September 8. The patients, three females and one male, all reside in Ba Dinh District and have been quarantined at home.
