During a meeting with provincial leaders on Tuesday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that because it has a strong organic farming sector and intensive processing, the province should continue expanding and developing additional goods and services. He urged the province to focus sustainable environmental protection, preventing smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, and to combine socio-economic development with defense and security in the border regions. The Prime Minister also visited Thanh Thanh Cong Group's sugarcane farm, the under-construction Tanifood fruit and vegetable processing factory which has an investment capital of 77 million USD.
