The closing ceremony of the "Tap to Share, Give Hope" social welfare program, co-organized by the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), global payment technology company Mastercard, and payment intermediary Payoo, took place on October 19, 2024.

The event marked the handover of cancer screening packages for disadvantaged women in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with representatives from the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross, the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA), as well as leaders of the organizing units and other related parties attending the ceremony.

During the three-month implementation period (from July 15 to October 15, 2024), the "Tap to Share, Give Hope" program initiated numerous meaningful fundraising activities through every NAPAS and Mastercard card tap transaction. As a result, millions of card tap transactions were recorded at stores, along with tens of thousands of hashtag #chamsechia shares on social media. With the program donating 2,010 VND for every card tap transaction and 20,100 VND for each social media share, NAPAS and Mastercard contributed a total of 3.5 billion VND to the cancer screening project for women.

At the ceremony, NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo presented 2,010 cancer screening packages for disadvantaged women in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, they pledged to provide 200 in-depth screening packages (valued at 5 million VND per package) for women at high risk of cancer.

Specifically, out of the 2,010 screening packages, 1,000 will be allocated to the Hanoi Red Cross, 600 to the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross, and 400 to HEPZA. Cancer screenings for the 2,010 women are scheduled to take place from October 19 to October 26 at four hospitals: Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, Gia Dinh People’s Hospital, Hanoi Oncology Hospital, and the 108 Military Central Hospital. Furthermore, following the initial screenings, the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross will select the 200 most disadvantaged women identified to be at high risk for breast cancer, thyroid cancer, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer to receive financial support for advanced screenings.

Alongside the screening activities, the "Tap to Share, Give Hope" program also organized "Zero-Cost Booths" at hospitals, offering essential products such as rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, salt, shampoo, and body wash. Women participating in the screenings will be given a 220,000 VND shopping voucher to choose practical items at the "Zero-Cost Booth," helping ease their financial burdens.

"Tap To Share, Give Hope" initiative marks the second year of Mastercard, NAPAS and Payoo’s joint commitment to support women from vulnerable communities. In 2023, the "Tap to Pay, Send a thousand Love" initiative successfully raised funds to donate new wigs for cancer patients undergoing treatment at Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital. Following the achievements of last year's initiative, this year’s campaign expanded both the scale and scope of support, directly benefiting underprivileged women through social awareness and empowering individuals to create meaningful social impact in their communities.
