On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of VTV3’s first broadcast (March 31, 1996 - March 31, 2026), the program Appointment with March serves as a tribute to the viewers who have supported the channel throughout the years.
One of the highlights of Appointment with March is the reunion of the veteran Tao Quan cast (People’s Artist Quoc Khanh, People’s Artist Tu Long, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung, Meritorious Artist Quang Thang, and Van Dung),the protagonists the year-end program Gap nhau cuoi nam (Year-End Gathering) - Tao Quan.
“It’s not only the audience who misses the Tao Quan program — we miss it a lot as well! This time, we’ve adapted the old format to bring back the joy and spirit of Tao Quan, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of VTV3’s first broadcast,” said Meritorious Artist Chi Trung.
The artists are rehearsing for the program “Appointment with March”, which will air on March 29 on VTV3.
“I feel as if today is Lunar New Year’s Eve. It brings back the same emotions as many years ago when we prepared costumes for the Tao characters. This year, Quang Thang will still wear red since he always prefers it. For Tu Long and Chi Trung, we’ll choose something a bit more unique. The Jade Emperor is always a very standard, iconic figure, so we must fully respect that image as it has been for years”, shared Meritorious Artist Duc Hung.
These days, the artists are actively rehearsing at Vietnam Television to deliver an impressive performance to the audience.
