Last year, there were a total of 17 surgical robots in South East Asia, while in Asia, there were 502 and 2563 in the US. In Vietnam, there are 3 medical robots in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Even though robots are precise and useful, they cost a lot of money to operate, compared to other types of medical equipment. In order to make this technology more accessible, solutions such as social insurance need to be considered.
