Super typhoon Yutu to bring torrential rains

Cruises, cargo ships, and other sea-faring transportation have been advised to reroute or risk being battered by high winds and dangerous waters. AccuWeather meteorologists expect Yutu to move over the northern Philippines as a powerful typhoon. According to forecasts, by October 31, the storm's center will be about 520 kilometers to the east of the Paracel islands of Vietnam. As part of their response to the storm, the Central Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention has sent an urgent telegram to relevant authorities to make the necessary preparations.
