Built on nearly 20 hectares at Huu Thanh Industrial Park, the facility is the company's largest and most advanced plant in Vietnam and the biggest production site in Suntory PepsiCo's Asian manufacturing network. The factory has a designed annual production capacity of over 1.24 billion litres and is equipped with highly automated production, filling and warehousing systems.

The plant integrates a range of sustainability solutions, including biomass energy, rooftop solar power, water-saving technologies, greenhouse gas emission reduction measures and recycled PET (rPET) packaging. Once fully operational, it will meet rising domestic demand while increasing supply to regional markets.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Tay Ninh provincial People's Committee Le Van Han said the project marked an important milestone in the province's industrial development and reflected the confidence of leading global corporations in Vietnam's investment climate.

He said the plant would strengthen the processing and manufacturing sector, promote technology transfer, support the development of logistics and supporting industries, create jobs and contribute to local budget revenues. Tay Ninh will continue improving its investment environment through administrative reforms and infrastructure development to support long-term business expansion, Han added.

Josuke Kimura, President and CEO of Suntory Beverage & Food, described the new factory as a key milestone in Suntory's long-term commitment to Vietnam. He said Vietnam remains one of the company's fastest-growing markets in Asia, and the investment will enable Suntory to respond more quickly to consumer demand while enhancing innovation and supporting future regional expansion.

Meanwhile, Eugene Willemsen, CEO of International Beverages and Executive Vice President of PepsiCo, said Vietnam is one of the company's most dynamic growth markets. The Tay Ninh facility demonstrates PepsiCo's confidence in Vietnam's long-term economic prospects and reinforces its commitment to investing in advanced manufacturing, digital transformation, sustainable operations and domestic supply chain development.

According to Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam, the project is expected to generate around 3,000 jobs across the local supply chain. The company also plans to deepen cooperation with Vietnamese partners, expand supply chain localisation, invest in new technologies and implement programmes on education, water conservation, environmental protection and community development.

Industry experts said the investment sends a positive signal about Vietnam's competitiveness in attracting next-generation FDI as multinational companies continue to diversify supply chains in Asia. The decision to locate Suntory PepsiCo's largest Asian manufacturing facility in Vietnam also highlights the country's growing role as a strategic regional production hub for high-tech, innovative and sustainable industries.
