The youths, who formed over 67,800 teams, took part in various programmes to support students during exams, as well as the needy in poor areas, especially coastal and island localities.
As a result, the entire Youth Union implemented a total of 647 provincial-level youth projects, worth over 100 billion VND; 4,975 district-level youth projects, worth over 142 billion VND; and 55,804 grassroots youth projects, with a total value of over 210 billion VND.
According to Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee, through practical activities, the summer youth volunteer campaign has enhanced people’s and all-level authorities’ trust in the youth. It has attracted a large number of young people to dedicate their skills and knowledge and also served as a lighthouse in guiding the operation of volunteer groups in society.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with excellent performance during the campaign were honoured.
