VTV.vn - A strong magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck the southern coast of Peru on Sunday morning, leaving at least two dead, 17 people were missing, and 65 people were injured.

The U.S Pacific Tsunami Warning Center initially warned of possible tsunami waves for areas of Peru's southern coast. But it later downgraded the threat and said no tsunami waves had been spotted. Peru President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski traveled to the damaged towns, where he said the quake had toppled around 100 houses. He confirmed that everything that is needed is going to be sent with full speed.
