VTV.vn - The film brings together a multi-generational cast from North to South and is loved by a wide audience.

The film is a Vietnamese adaptation of the famous original Korean film Jang Bo Ri is Here, which was broadcast by MBC 10 years ago. To suit Vietnamese audiences, the traditional Korean family occupation of making hanbok was changed to the Vietnamese Do family occupation of embroidering ao dai and painting.

The Vietnamese version also incorporates cultural features and challenging situations that the characters face in their lives. In particular, the embroidery of skilled Vietnamese artisans, especially the embroidery patterns on traditional Ao Dai, is the attraction of the film.

The story of Stolen Happiness revolves around two young girls who grow up to become the daughters-in-law of the Do family, who are traditional embroiderers. Many tragedies are indirectly caused by the two daughters-in-law as they pursue their dreams of becoming the family heiress and amassing wealth and power.

Stolen Happiness, directed by Nham Minh Hien, will be broadcast every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 18:50 on VTV9 channel starting August 25, 2024.
