In celebration of the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Will, the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024), the 19th anniversary of the National Day of All-People’s Defense of Homeland Security (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2024), and the awarding of the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to the Ho Chi Minh City Police Force, VTV9 will broadcast the documentary Steadfast Oath at 8:45 PM on August 18, 2024.
The People's Public Security Force of the the people, comes from the people, and serves the people. The Saigon - Cholon - Gia Dinh Police Force of the past and today’s Ho Chi Minh City Police Force have always been ready to undertake the tasks assigned by the Party, the State, and the people, accepting dangers and overcoming all hardships, sacrificing for the peace of life and the sustainable development of the city.
From August 26, 1945, when the National Self-Defense Force of South Vietnam officially began operations, to March 19, 1961, as Security T4, and on July 2, 1976, when the Saigon - Gia Dinh Internal Security Committee officially became the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department. Following the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Force has been built and developed over nearly 80 years, contributing to the protection and renewal efforts alongside the Party and the people of the city for the past 50 years.
With renewed determination and spirit, the city's police force will always put the national and people's interests above all else in any circumstance, worthy of being the "sharp sword" and the "steel shield" of the Party, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City.
