Born into a family of five siblings, Binh was the only one with a unique physical condition. His growth stopped at 1.35 meters. His small stature made manual farm work impossible, so he turned to sewing and dedicated over 20 years of his life to perfecting his craft.
Yet, living with a different body was not the most challenging aspect of his life. What weighed on him more were the stares and whispers of those who saw him as “different”. However, Binh refused to let bitterness take root. To him, living independently and with dignity was the most genuine expression of filial piety toward his parents.
At the age of 44, a turning point arrived. Binh enrolled in Nghi Luc Song (The Will to Live) vocational program, where he learned how to use a computer.first time. He started over by training as a photo editor, passing the company’s entrance test, and becoming a full-time employee at Imagtor. Through discipline and resilience, he mastered his new profession and built a community that connects other people of short stature and provides them with opportunities, support, and encouragement in work and life.
