State President speaks at UN General Assembly
VTV.vn - State President Truong Tan Sang delivered a speech at the UN General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.

The main message of the speech was that ensuring peace and security based on respect to international law is the first condition for sustainable development.

President Sang's speech caught much attention, as Vietnam has successfully achieved the Millennium development goals (MDGs). The speech highlighted the importance of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the MDGs. President Truong Tan Sang also shared Vietnam's experience in successfully achieving the MDGs.

He emphasized Vietnam's commitment to completing Sustainable development goals based on the country's achievements so far, and stated that Vietnam will cooperate closely with ASEAN in maintaining peace and creating an environment conducive for sustainable development, including the security, safety and freedom of navigation and overflight in the East Sea.
