The state president acknowledged the ambassador’s contributions to ties between Vietnam and India. Sang also said Vietnam supported India’s Look East policy, and Vietnam would continue to foster ties between the two nations. The Indian ambassador highly appreciated the improvement in bilateral ties and underscored that further co-operation should be enhanced. Trade turnover between Vietnam and India reached 5 billion US dollars in 2015 and is expected to double in 2020.
