He expressed his gratitude to 85 Belarusian veterans who were sent to Vietnam by the former Soviet Union to help the country fight for independence and freedom.
The State President said that the Belarus-Vietnam Friendship Association has helped increase solidarity and mutual understanding between the two peoples. He said the association should enhance the exchange of visits, share experiences and educate the young generations of the two countries to continue the bilateral friendship.
