State Bank reviews implementation of Decree 67

After exactly one year in effect, the decree on credit support to build offshore vessels has reaped modest benefits for fishermen in Nghe An. Only 6 new wooden-hull fishing boats have been built with loans from commercial banks, and no steel-hull high-capacity vessels yet. The province is currently facing a shortage of offshore fishing vessels, resulting in a sub-par performance from the local fishery sector. The State Bank Governor requested that authorities and banks work together to raise the loan disbursement under Decree 67.
