VTV.vn - A set of stamps themed ‘Joining hands to fight against COVID-19’ was issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications on March 31.

The set consists of two samples, measuring 31 x 46 mm, which were designed by painter Pham Trung Hai from the Vietnam Post Corporation.

The first sample, valued at VND4,000, features representatives from the health sector, military and police forces, who are working day and night as a shield to protect people’s health and the country’s peace.

Meanwhile, the second one, valued VND15,000, illustrates Vietnamese doctors who are conducting research to develop the most effective treatment regime for COVID-19 and produce a vaccine against the disease.

The stamp set will be available in the post network until December 31, 2021.

Propaganda posters on preventing and controlling COVID-19

In the same move to raise public awareness of the epidemic, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested the People's Committees of communes, wards and townships in 63 provinces and cities nationwide to hang up propaganda posters on preventing and controlling COVID-19.

The 14 selected posters stood out from more than 100 entries sent to a contest launched by the Department of Grassroots Culture in mid-March.

All the entries contain comprehensible and relevant messages calling on the whole of society to stand together and unite to repel the disease.

They also disseminate necessary and practical information on the prevention of COVID-19, including regularly wearing masks and washing hands frequently with soap and water, avoiding crowded gatherings, and going to the nearest medical stations for advice, examination and treatment in case of fever, coughing or shortness of breath.
