Stabilizing the pork market for Tet

Because of the shortage of pork and the rising prices, Deputy Prime Minister Vương Đình Huệ chaired a meeting with several ministries to come up with solutions to stabilize the supply and the pork market for the upcoming Tet.

He requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the General Statistics Office to make an accurate report on the amount of pork that will be in shortage.

The Deputy Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider the plan of importing more pork. He emphasised that the Government will ensure the harmonization of supply and demand, the interests of producers, consumers, and businesses.
