According to Sri Lankan authorities, at least 31 foreigners were killed in the attack, including 8 British nationals, 8 Indians, 4 Americans, 2 Spanish nationals, 2 Australians, 2 Chinese. Switzerland, Netherlands, Japan, Portugal and Denmark have also confirmed their citizens were among the ones killed in the attack. Victims include three children of Danish business tycoon Anders Holch Povlsen, who is the owner of online clothing retailer Asos. Povlsen was with his family on vacation in Shangri-La hotel in Sri Lanka when the bombers struck.
