The live television broadcast Under the Flag of Victory is a highlight in a series of programs commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). The program will look back at the important milestones of the past 70 years through a combination of current experiences and past memories, between art and analysis and evaluation.
Under the Flag of Victory will be broadcast live from Hanoi, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Kon Tum and Ho Chi Minh City. In this way, the climactic and earth-shattering victory of Dien Bien Phu will be faithfully and richly recreated.
However, with the vast amount of documentary information and historical eyewitness accounts of the Dien Bien Phu victory, presenting them in a television program is a major challenge for the production team. For this reason, preparations for the telecast have been underway since 2023.
The live broadcast "Under the Flag of Victory" is scheduled to be aired on May 5 at 20:00 on channel VTV1.
