VTV.vn - South Korean President Moon Jae-in visited the Vietnamese national team's training ground in Hanoi yesterday, a few hours after he touched down in the capital city of Hanoi.

The South Korean president said he was impressed by the exceptional performance by Vietnam's U23s at the AFC championship despite the snow. He said he thought it would spur the team on to better results in the future.

He added that he watched the final AFC match between Vietnam U23s and Uzbekistan U23s, stating that the overall victory would have gone to Park’s side but for the snow storm.

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam expressed his gratitude and warmly welcomed the RoK President and his wife to the meeting with Vietnam U23s and the coaching staff, stressing that the sporting cooperation between the two countries over the past few years has attained significant results.

The resounding AFC performance of Vietnam U23s has worked to deepen the close sentiments between the two countries’ people, he said, affirming that Vietnam highly appreciates the significance of the sports, cultural and tourism cooperation in the master development of the Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperative partnership.
