"Soil bank" to be formed in Ca Mau

This is an initiative to find an alternative material to sand, which is becoming more rare. According to the province's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, there are 290,000 hectares of area for aquatic products farming, and a lot of mud is produced from this practice.

A bank of soil will take advantage of the mud and saves money for dredging the canals. A pilot soil bank area has been formed in Trần Thới Commune, Cái Nước District, with the area of 11 hectares.
