VTV.vn - An extension of social distancing in Hanoi to the 30th of April has been proposed at a meeting of the National Standing Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control.

However, the committee has asked for the Prime Minister's permission to allow city leaders decide whether to re-open services while ensuring preventive measures are implemented.

The committee suggested that localities facing moderate and low risks can make similar decisions for themselves based on the current situation.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Đức Đam also affirmed that Covid-19 in Vietnam is under control but cities and provinces should not allow gathering in large crowds. High-risk provinces must not allow gathering of more than 10 people, while the limit for low-risk provinces are 20 people.
