Sixteen Teams Advance to the Knockout Stage of Robocon Vietnam 2025

The Robocon Vietnam 2025 features 62 teams representing technical universities, academies, and colleges from across the country.

Unlike  in previous years when teams competed directly in regional qualifiers, this year the organizing committee evaluated team performances based on their robot demonstrations during the preliminary round.

From that round, the 32 best-performing teams advanced to the national finals. These 32 teams were divided into  eight groups of four teams each, and competed in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each group moved on to the knockout round.

At the end of the group stage, based on their performance, the 1st-place teams were ranked from 1 to 8, and the 2nd-place teams were ranked from 9 to 16. The ranking criteria were prioritized in the following order:

1. Number of match wins

2. Higher total score across all matches

3. Fewer successful throws needed to score

4. Shortest time to complete a successful throw after gaining ball control

5. Shortest time to complete a successful dunk

6. Shortest time to  make a successful three-point throw

7. Shortest time to complete a successful two -point throw

8. If  there is   still a tie, the decision will be made by the judging panel
