The Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association held a press briefing on July 17 in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Computational Science & Technology to announce the string of ICT events organised this year.
The events include a workshop on Vietnam ICT outlook 2018 (VIO) entitled "Innovation in the digital era", a workshop on Smart City 360 degree, and the Top ICT Vietnam 2018 Awards ceremony. The events will be held at the White Palace Convention Centre, 194 Hoang Van Thu in Ho Chi Minh City.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association Lam Nguyen Hai Long said that innovation in the digital era draws a lot of attention from leaders of IT management agencies and enterprises amid the strong development and pervasive impacts of Industry 4.0.
Therefore, the VIO 2018 is expected to seek solutions for State management agencies and enterprises to carry out digital transformation in certain areas in the most effective manner.
This will be the first year that VIO 2018 hold a trade promotion round table meeting to connect ICT businesses with Vietnamese start-ups, Long noted.
The VIO 2018 will also reserve a space to showcase ICT solutions and services from domestic and foreign enterprises as well as from Vietnamese start-ups in addition to a 4.0 technology experience area with applications showcasing artificial intelligence, virtual reality, robot, flying equipment, and 3D printing technology, among others.
