Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh visited wounded and sick soldiers who are being treated at Thuan Thanh Nursing Centre in Bac Ninh province on January 21.
He extended New Year greetings and presented Tet gifts to the soldiers.
The Party official noted that the Party, State and people never forget the significant contributions of wounded and sick soldiers to the cause of national liberation.
He also asked local authorities to provide more support to Thuan Thanh Nursing Centre so it can take better care of wounded and sick soldiers.
*On the same day, Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan offered incense to late President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum and offered incense to late President Ton Duc Thang at the Ton Duc Thang Museum on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
The Party official also paid tribute to martyrs at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery in District 9, offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh City Cemetery in Thu Duc District, and paid tribute to martyrs at the Cu Chi District Martyrs Cemetery.
*Meanwhile in Hanoi, Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai received a delegation from Hung Hoa Diocese led by Bishop Vu Tat on the occasion of Tet 2020.
She offered her best Tet wishes to the Bishop and the Catholic dignitaries and followers while affirming that the Party and State acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of Hung Hoa Diocese and the Catholic community in the cause for national development.
