According to a report by the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development, Vietnam is estimated to have exported over one billion USD worth of seafood products in April, bringing turnover during the first four months of 2022 to nearly 3.6 billion USD, a 44% increase year on year.
The United States, Japan, and China are the largest importers of Vietnam's seafood products, accounting for a total of 49%.
Tra fish exports achieved the most impressive growth of 89% during the four-month period, with 894 million USD worth of products sold, and April's figure reaching 263 million USD.
The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers said that the average export price of tra fish products has increased to 3.2-3.4 USD per kg.
