The first monthly competition of Road to Olympia Mount Season 26 took place with the participation of four contestants: Nguyen Anh Tu from Bac Ninh Specialized High School; Le Quoc Hung from Quang Tri High School; Tran Vo Gia Bao from Le Quy Don Specialized High School, Dong Hai, Khanh Hoa; and Doan Gia Khanh from Huu Lung High School, Lang Son.
In the Individual Warm-up round, the four contestants began with great determination. Anh Tu opened the round and earned 30 points. Gia Bao and Gia Khanh closely followed with the same score of 30 points. Quoc Hung made a strong impression by answering many questions quickly and accurately across various fields, temporarily taking the lead with 50 points.
In the General Warm-up round, Quoc Hung continued his impressive performance, scoring consistently and raising his total score to 100 points, thereby leading the group. The remaining contestants had the following scores: Gia Khanh, 25 points; Gia Bao, 30 points; and Anh Tu, 35 points.
Entering the Overcome Obstacle round with a 16-letter keyword, the atmosphere became tense right from the first question as none of the contestants answered correctly. In the second question, only Quoc Hung and Gia Khanh scored, making the situation even more intense. Although only one piece of the puzzle had been revealed, Gia Bao suddenly rang the bell and boldly gave the answer, “Dat rung phuong Nam”. This turned out to be the correct answer, helping Gia Bao move up to second place with 70 points.
In the Speed-up round, the race for points became more dramatic than ever. Gia Bao surged ahead to take the lead with 180 points, followed closely by Quoc Hung with 150 points. Anh Tu reached 135 points, while Gia Khanh temporarily stood behind with 75 points.
In the Finish round, Gia Bao went first with a set of three 20-point questions and scored 40 points. Quoc Hung followed with a 20-30-20 question set, and the use of the star on the final question helped him close the gap significantly, staying just 20 points behind the leader. Anh Tu chose the same package but lost a crucial question to Quoc Hung. The final outcome was decided when Gia Khanh selected a set of three 30-point questions and secured a full 60 points on the last question using the star.
At the end of the competition, Gia Bao won the laurel wreath with 210 points; Quoc Hung finished with 185 points; Gia Khanh scored 155 points; and Anh Tu had 105 points.
