Road to Olympia Mount: Nghe An schoolboy Claims Convincing Victory

The Week 2 – February – Quarter 2 episode of Road to Olympia Mount in its 25th year featured a fierce battle among four contestants: Tran Quang Tung (Vinh Specialized High School, Nghe An), Nguyen Nhat Lam (Cai Be High School, Tien Giang), Nguyen Mai Anh (Dong Phu Cu High School, Hung Yen), Nguyen Quynh Nhu (Bat Bat High School, Hanoi).  

The opening round, the Individual Warm-up round, saw fairly even performances from the contestants. Quang Tung was the first contestant to enter this round and scored 50 points from the first 6 questions. Although Mai Anh was the last contestant in the warm-up round, she also excelled and scored 50 points. Meanwhile, Nhut Lam and Nhu Quynh both scored 40 points in this round. The contestants had relatively equal scores. Quang Tung was the first contestant to enter this round and got 50 points from the first 6 questions. After the General Warm-up round, the contestant’s scores saw significant changes. Quynh Nhu had 35 points, Mai Anh had 55 points, Nhut Lam scored 50 points, and the leader of the group was Quang Tung with 105 points.

This week's  Overcoming Obstacles round  featured a 12-letter keyword. Quang Tung was the first to choose and correctly answer the first horizontal linecontaining the number   “7”, and all four contestants scored in this round. After Nhut Binh chose the first horizontal line with three letters and answered the word "Remember", an image section was revealed. Nhut Binh also quickly rang the bell and answered the question in this round with the "Binomial Theorem". With this correct answer, Nhut Lam quickly  took the lead.

This week's obstacle has 12 letters.

After this round, the contestants' scores were as follows: Quynh Nhu had 45 points, Mai Anh had 65 points, Quang Tung was temporarily in 2nd place with 115 points, and Nhut Lam moved ahead with 120 points.

The Speed-up round is one of the crucial rounds where contestants can make a big difference in points.  The  first question was answered correctly by Quang Tung and Mai Anh. In the second question, all four contestants answered correctly and scored points. In the third question, the answers were divided into two sides, but only Quang Tung and Quynh Nhu had the correct answers.

After the first three rounds, there was a significant point gap between the contestants. Quynh Nhu had 115 points, Mai Anh had 135 points, Nhut Lam had 190 points, and Quang Tung led with 235 points.

In the final round - the Finish round, all four contestants showed determination and effort to score the highest points. The first to enter the Finish round was Quang Tung, who was leading at the time. The male contestant from Nghe An answered 2 questions and finished with 275 points.

Nhut Lam was the second to enter the Finish round, with a selected question package of 20-2-30 and no star of hope. Nhut Lam answered 2 questions, scoring 220 points.

Mai Anh was the next to move on to the Finish round. Choosing the 20-30-20 question package, Mai Anh answered 2 questions and scored 205 points. Quynh Nhu was the last contestant to enter the 'Finish' round, choosing the 30-20-30 question bundle, determined to score higher. Unfortunately, Quynh Nhu missed the chance to answer the first question, which was taken by Quang Tung. At the end of this round, Quynh Nhu only answered 1 question correctly, ending her journey with 75 points.

Thus, at the end of the second week of the competition of February 2025, Quang Tung claimed the victory with 280 points. Nhut Lam secured second place with 220 points, Mai Anh  was third with 205 points, and Quynh Nhu came last with 75 points. This competition also confirmed that the highest second-place score currently belongs to Nguyen Nhut Lam from Cai Be High School, Tien Giang.
