In the first monthly competition of Quarter II, which aired on February 22, Doan Tri Anh demonstrated an impressive acceleration , ultimately claiming victory with 230 points.
The match brought together four outstanding contestants: Nghiem Trung Duc (Soc Son High School, Hanoi), Doan Tri Anh (Dan Phuong High School, Hanoi), Tran Manh Khoi (Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Hanoi), and Lam Tien Dat (Nghia Lo High School, Lao Cai).
In the Warm-up round, Trung Duc temporarily led with 65 points, followed closely by Tri Anh with 60. Manh Khoi and Tien Dat both scored 35 points, keeping the competition close in the early stages.
The Overcome Obstacle round required contestants to solve a 13-letter keyword. Tran Manh Khoi made the strongest impression in this round. After all four contestants uncovered the first clue, “Spring”, Khoi quickly rang the bell for the next horizontal clue and gave the answer “Mua xuan nho nho” (A Small Spring). He explained that he inferred the answer from the data in the open question, linking it to the year the poem was written, and decided to take the risk of answering early. This bold move propelled him into the lead with 95 points. Nghiem Trung Duc followed with 75 points, Doan Tri Anh had 70, and Lam Tien Dat stood at 45.
The Speed-up round dramatically shifted the standings. Tri Anh delivered an explosive performance, scoring an additional 100 points to raise his total to 170 and take the lead. Tien Dat followed closely behind with 145 points, Trung Duc reached 135, while Manh Khoi stood at 115.
In the decisive Finish round, Tri Anh maintained his composure and consistency. He earned 20 points in his own set of questions and successfully capitalized on opportunities during his opponents’ turns, gaining an additional 40 points. This brought his total to 230, creating a safe margin.
At the end of the competition, Doan Tri Anh claimed the laurel wreath with 230 points. Nghiem Trung Duc finished second with 190 points, Lam Tien Dat placed third with 135, and Tran Manh Khoi ranked fourth with 125.
Tri Anh’s steady competitive mindset and well-timed acceleration earned Dan Phuong High School the first Monthly Laurel of Quarter II in Road to Olympia Mount 2026.
