For Bao Khanh, the laurel wreath represents more than just a personal victory, it also embodies the collective pride of his family, his teachers, his school, and the capital city of Hanoi, especially since his school is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
“I believe this championship isn’t just for me, my family, and my friends, but also for my school and for Hanoi”, Bao Khanh shared.
Looking back on his journey, Bao Khanh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the loved ones who supported him throughout the competition: “First of all, I want to thank my parents for working tirelessly to raise me. Without their sacrifices and unconditional love, I wouldn’t have earned this laurel wreath. Throughout my Olympia journey, they always encouraged me to learn, explore, and grow. They allowed me to travel, broaden my horizons, and build both mental and physical strength for today”.
When asked about his immediate plans after the competition, the young champion smiled: “Right after the final, I just want to celebrate with my friends and family. As for the future, I have many dreams and ambitions, but I’ll keep them secret for now, so everyone can discover them later.”
A particularly moving moment came when Bao Khanh’s grandfather appeared at the live broadcast location in Hanoi to cheer on his grandson. He proudly said during the live interview: “Fifty years ago, I was a young soldier fighting for the country. Today, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s founding, the 25th anniversary of The Road to Olympia Mount, and the 40th anniversary of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, my grandson has won the championship. What a perfect joy!”.
The other contestants also shared touching reflections. Doan Thanh Tung expressed his positive outlook: “Studying is only one path. We must train ourselves in many ways, what matters most is giving our best effort. When we do that, good things will follow.”
Le Quang Duy Khoa revealed that, after months of intense preparation, he plans to reconnect with his passion for music. “I love playing instruments, and I hope to have more time to practice and pursue my musical dreams”. Meanwhile, Nguyen Nhut Lam from Dong Thap conveyed the enduring spirit of Olympia in his meaningful yet straightforward words: “The future is long, and important decisions take time. But no matter what I do or study, I’ll always embody the Olympia spirit –of learning hard and playing hard”.
The talk ended on a warm and emotional note. Tran Bui Bao Khanh’s story stands not only as a triumph in a knowledge competition but also as a shining example of the intellect, perseverance, and ambition of Hanoi’s young generation today.
