These include the 2nd Mekong - Lancang Co-operation Leaders' Meeting in January, the 6th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit in March and most recently the 3rd Mekong River Commission Summit on April 4th and 5th.
Preserving water resources and livelihoods and boosting regional trade and economic development are the objectives of co-operation in the Mekong Subregion.
