Retail sales rise in October

Among goods and commodities, food, home appliances, garments, transport, and education grew most notably. According to the General Statistics Office, the domestic retail market and service sector have seen positive changes over the last few months, including more sales promotion schemes and stricter controls on smuggling. Localities that experienced the biggest growth include Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho City, and Binh Thuan Province.
