Restructuring helps increase businesses' value

From 50 products, An Giang Agriculture and Foods Import - Export JSC now only produces 3 key products. By determining the market's demand, and without increasing labour, profits have gone up.

Ever since it went under SCIC management, An Giang Agriculture and Foods Import - Export JSC has carried out restructuring and cutting of excessive labour. From operating at a loss, it's now making profit.

VINACONEX is another example of this. With SCIC investment and a change in its management methods, from being on the brink of bankruptcy, VINACONEX's shares have now doubled in value.

During the last 10 years, SCIC has divested 90% of the companies it is in charge of, bringing back almost 1.2 bil USD, 3 times more than the original amount.
