Floods in central region decrease
Heavy rains in provinces from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue have stopped temporarily and flooding in rivers has gradually decreased. Currently, water levels in the Kiến Giang River in Lệ Thủy, Quang Binh, and the Thach Han river in Thach Han, Quang Tri, are below alert level 2. On the Bồ river in Phú Ốc and Huong river in Kim Long, Thua Thien Hue, water levels are fluctuating above alert level 2 at 30 to 50cm.
The intensity of floods from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue has gradually decreased. However, it is necessary to continue efforts to prevent landslides in mountainous and riverside areas.
