At a reception for a delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha's Executive Council, Mai hailed the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha for conducting charitable activities and working with the party and state to help poor people and ethnic minority groups.
The same day, Mai also met with Priest Trần Xuân Mạnh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics, during which she said she hoped the committee would promote its role as a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to make a more active contribution to the Catholic community and national development./.
