The opening-hour rates at commercial banks also went up. At 8:35 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,710 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,020 VND/USD, both up 40 VND from March 111 BIDV raised both rates by 45 VND to 22,745 VND/USD (buying) and 23,025 VND/USD (selling).
During the week from March 7-11, the daily reference exchange rate followed an upward trend in the first three days, turned around to drop on Thursday and stayed unchanged on Friday. It ended the week up 5 VND from Monday.
