The activities celebrating the Quang Tri’s liberation and national reunification day include an incense offering ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and fallen soldiers at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery, and the Ancient Citadel of Quang Tri on April 27.
Notably, a flag-raising ceremony and the launch of a logo contest entitled “Pray for Peace” will be held at the historical relic site of Hien Luong-Ben Hai on April 30.
In addition, a traditional boat racing at the north bank boat racing wharf in the historical relic site of Hien Luong-Ben Hai.
Among the activities to open the sea tourism season in Quang Tri, the highlight will be the 2023 Cultural and Tourism Festival from April 28-30 at Cua Viet Tourist Service Area in the town of the same name, Gio Linh District.
The festival will spotlight the folk colours of all regions in Vietnam as well as the unique features and the interaction, integration, and development of Vietnamese culture.
During the festival, the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine will be promoted with the participation of artisans from all three regions. Quang Tri Province will participate the festival with 23 pavilions introducing all dishes of the districts, townships, cities, and major hotels in the localities.
This is an important event to promote economic recovery and tourism in Quang Tri as well as Vietnam in general, contributing to honouring and promoting the beauty of Vietnamese culture, tourism and cuisine.
