The Month 2 - Quarter 2 - Year 26 competition of Road to Olympia Mount featured four contestants: Can Gia Bao (Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted, Phu Tho); Nguyen Minh Tai (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai); Nguyen Su Minh Khoi (Dong Ha High School, Quang Tri); Tran Nguyen Duc (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, Hanoi).
In Week 3, by fully leveraging his strength in natural science questions, Tran Nguyen Duc (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, Hanoi) confidently secured first place with 265 points by leveraging his strength in natural science questions. The final spot went to Nguyen Minh Tai from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Gia Lai. With his strong composure and solid knowledge of history, the student from the Central Highlands successfully overcame a tense tie-breaker round to earn his place in the monthly competition. The four contestants, each with their own strengths, are now set to shine in the upcoming Month competition.
In the Individual Warm-up round, Minh Tai scored 20 points, Gia Bao and Minh Khoi each had 30, while Nguyen Duc led with 50 points. After the General Warm-up round, Nguyen Duc maintained his lead with 70 points, followed closely by Minh Khoi with 65.
The turning point came in the Overcome Obstacle round, when Minh Khoi boldly answered “Preliminary Agreement” right after the first clue. His risky move paid off, putting him in the lead with 115 points.
During the Speed-up round, all contestants attempted to maximize their scores. Minh Khoi maintained a strong performance and finished this round in first place with 195 points, while Minh Tai remained in last place with 90 points.
Entering the Finish round as the leader, Minh Khoi opted for a conservative strategy, answering three 20-point questions correctly, gaining an additional 60 points. He completed the round with 255 points, solidifying his lead.
Despite being strong in mathematics, Nguyen Duc missed a key question but still finished with 220 points, keeping close to the leader. Gia Bao made a late surge by doubling his points with a “Star” question, reaching 205 points, tying for second place with Nguyen Duc.
Minh Tai answered two out of three questions correctly, including one “Star” question, earning a total of 160 points. With 245 points, Minh Khoi officially claimed the monthly championship crown of Road to Olympia Mount. His victory highlighted not only his strong knowledge but also strategic thinking and composure under pressure.
