Quang Ninh announces winners of competition on province’s 60-year development

VTV.vn - The organising board of the competition entitled “Quang Ninh’s 60 years of building and development” held an award ceremony on October 20 to present prizes to outstanding contestants.

The competition was held by the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee in the form of writing, online multiple-choice tests, and theatrical performances.

More than 314,000 entries by 302,600 authors and 11,423 groups of authors, were submitted to the writing competition. Meanwhile, the online multiple choice tests attracted the participation of over 371,000 contestants and the competition on theatrical performances saw more than 5,000 contestants and audience members.

In the writing contest, two first-place prizes, 10 second-place prizes, 20 third-place prizes and 30 consolation prizes were presented to outstanding authors and groups of authors.

The organising board also granted certificates and awards to 18 collectives and 48 individuals, with the best results in the online multiple-choice test. Localities saw many prize winners including Ha Long, Cam Pha, Uong Bi, Dong Trieu and Quang Yen.

Regarding the theatrical performance competition, three first-place prizes, three second-place prizes and six third-place prizes went to the best performers.

The competition contributes to educating people, especially the youth, about the heroic tradition, history, potential, strengths and achievements of Quang Ninh over the past 60 years, as well as its significant contributions to the national development, according to Dang Xuan Phuong, deputy secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and head of the Competition Organising Board.
