Food aid shipments have been delivered to people living in high places and haven't been able to return home due to the floods.
Canoes and boats have been mobilized for relief work. The Red Cross of Quang Binh province has provided 500 packets of water purification powder and 300 buckets to store water. In addition, the delegation has donated 70 household packages to flooded households which included blankets, mosquito nets, water-filled bowls, and pans.
Searching for missing fishermen
The Quang Tri Border Guard and rescue units are continuing their search for a fisherman who went missing in Quang Binh's waters.
After floating at sea for nearly 25 hours with only a small plank, four fishermen in distress were found by the ships of the border guards of Quang Tri. These fishermen are currently receiving health care treatment at the Health Station in Quang Tri.
On September 5, fishing vessel number NA 93010 TS from Nghe An, along with seven fishermen, was sunk by large waves in Quang Binh's waters. A fishing boat near the scene was able to save one of them, however, the other six drowned during heavy waves and high winds.
