They are eight northern pig-tailed macaques (scientifically known as macaca leonine), two impressed tortoises, one Indian crested hawk-eagle, one Burmese python, one red junglefowl, one crested porcupine, and one oriental ratsnake (Ptyas mucosa). Some of them are listed as endangered, rare, and precious forest species.
These wild animals were voluntarily handed over by organisations and individuals to the authorities, which then transferred them to the centre for caring, nurturing, and rehabilitating behaviours.
Since early 2024, the centre has received and rescued 47 animals, releasing 17 back into their natural habitat. It is now home to 73 wild animals.
