Protection of aquatic resources

Currently, with this year's unusual and stormy season, the protection of aquatic resources is receiving the utmost focus from the local authorities and fishermen. A 1 meter high shield system is being built around the fish pond to prevent fish from being swept away by floods. The water is also being cleaned for the fish to develop well. Such activities are being promptly carried out to protect aquatic resources. The water environment is very vital in guaranteeing healthy aquatic resources. That's why we use biological products to control the water environment after it rains.

At present, the area of aquaculture in Vinh Hung commune, Phu Loc district is nearly 335ha with 700 fish floating cages. This is an important source of economic development for the local households. That's why local authorities always urge people to take the initiative in protecting aquaculture during the rainy season. In August, Thua Thien Hue province produced more than 9,500 tonnes of aquaculture products, an increase of 5.59% over the same period last year.

As forecasted, unusual variations in temperature and humidity continue to occur during the rainy season in Thua Thien Hue province. Both local authorities and fish farmers are always ready to protect their aquatic resources.
