In the context of building a socialist rule-of-law state, it has become an urgent task for the media to effectively communicating legal knowledge through vivid, accessible images. Based on this idea, the Department of Special Features – Educational Programs, Vietnam Television (VTV), in collaboration with the People's Procuracy Protection Newspaper and the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam, developed a legal program called Prosecution - Supervision Dossier.
Prosecution - Supervision Dossier carries the mission to objectively and truthfully reflect the process of exercising procuratorial power, supervising judicial activities, enforcing justice, and protecting the law within the Procuracy sector. Through the lens of television, each case reconstructed not only conveys informative value but also profoundly emphasizes the educational significance, promoting legal communication among all social strata, contributing to the spirit of law supremacy within society.
The highlight of the program is the coverage of high-profile cases that have attracted public attention: from major corruption, economic, criminal, high-tech, and civil cases to precedent-setting trials in the public prosecution sector.

Speaking about the program, Mr. Tran Hai Quan – Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy – emphasized: “By broadcasting the Prosecution - Supervision Dossier on VTV1 and Vietnam Television's digital platforms, we aim to provide accurate, honest, and objective information on the practice of prosecutorial authority, supervision of judicial activities, the fight against wrongful convictions, and impunity. The program also highlights efforts to reform the judiciary, the construction of a socialist rule-of-law state, and the role of the People's Procuracy in fighting corruption, waste, and malpractice. This helps Party members, officials, and the public better understand the functions and duties of the Procuracy sector”.
Mr. Tran Hai Quan further stated that the program will also provide useful legal knowledge, helping people raise their legal awareness and live and work according to the Constitution and the law.

As an in-depth investigative commentary program, each episode of Prosecution - Supervision Dossier is carefully selected in terms of subject matter, ensuring close coordination with the Supreme People's Procuracy, local People's Procuracies, investigation agencies, courts, and enforcement bodies. Each detail, piece of evidence, and testimony is thoroughly verified and vividly reconstructed, ensuring legal precision and objectivity.
Journalist Hai Yen (Department of Special Features – Educational Programs, VTV) reported that the department designed Prosecution - Supervision Dossier with a concise 7-minute format, yet still vividly portraying legal narratives and especially highlighting the role of the People's Procuracy in litigation, law enforcement, and protection.
Editor Duy Manh from the Department of Special Features – Educational Programs Department, VTV, noted: “With only around 7 minutes of airtime, Prosecution - Supervision Dossier has to convey a legal message and lesson. This is a major challenge. In order to tell a story that fully represents the procedural, prosecutorial, and investigative journey, we worked closely with the Procuracy sector, meticulously studying case files, procedural records, and investigations to identify the key points of contention and legal argument”.

With the core message “Strict law enforcement, justice knows no sanctuary”, the program is not just a piece of television production but also serves as a bridge between prosecutorial agencies and the public. Prosecution - Supervision Dossier promises to become a new highlight in the flow of investigative commentary programs on national television.
The program targets domestic and international audiences, including legislative, executive and judicial officials, as well as local ministries and departments. It aims to enhance public awareness and knowledge about Vietnam’s legal protection policies and judicial system, contributing to the construction and perfection of the socialist rule of law .
