Prompt encouragement sent to COVID-19 prevention and control forces

VTV.vn - A delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), Ministry of Health and the Vietnam National Union of Health Workers, led by member of the Party Central Committee and President of the VGCL Nguyen Dinh Khang.

The National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology became a key unit in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Despite the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival, the officials and employees of the institute remain determined to put their jobs first, ready to say goodbye to their families to join the supporting team of the Ministry of Health to epidemic-hit areas.

The VGCL’s President Nguyen Dinh Khang extended his Tet greetings to leaders, trade unions and employees of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.

He also expressed his hope that the institute will continue to uphold its tradition to support other units during the difficult time of the anti-epidemic work.

On the occasion, the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology received valuable support, including VND50 million from the VGCL, VND40 million from the Vietnam National Union of Health Workers and gifts from the Ministry of Health.

Visiting Bach Mai Hospital, the VGCL’s President Nguyen Dinh Khanh appreciated the efforts made by officers, doctors and employees to put the COVID-19 epidemic under control.

He also extended his greetings to them on the occasion of the upcoming Tet Holiday.

The VGCL presented VND140 million, the Vietnam National Union of Health Workers and the Ministry of Health gave Tet gifts and to medical workers in the hospital.

* On the same day, the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Era Pharma Limited Company presented gifts to Ho Chi Minh City Military School under the City’s High Command in Bau Dung Hamlet, Nhuan Duc Commune, Cu Chi District, where a quarantine area and Cu Chi field hospital have been set up.

The Nhan Dan Newspaper and Era Pharma Company presented medical supplies, such as face masks, mouthwash and nasal spray to soldiers, medical workers and citizens who are isolated here.

The quarantine area and Cu Chi field hospital now have about 200 people who are being isolated and treated. Various practical activities were held to help soldiers, doctors, medical workers and isolated people welcome a warm Tet holiday.

* Hai Duong Provincial Labour Federation visited and presented Tet gifts to over 3,500 employees in 32 quarantine areas in Chi Minh City.

On the occasion, Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and MobiFone Company donated VND500 million to support the province in the COVDID-19 prevention and control.
