Promoting technology reform in private enterprises

Science and technology transfer among this group is very important in restructuring the development model. However, in Ho Chi Minh city, only a quarter of 700 businesses operating in 12 industrial zones use relatively modern technology while about half of them use outdated technology. This is a hindrance to achieving international standards.

This process should be carried out through a combination of policies and the pro-activeness of enterprises to ensure technology is within their reach.
