Under the five-year project, US partner Indiana University will work with Vietnam’s three largest universities, namely the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh (VNU-HCM), Vietnam National University - Hanoi (VNU-HN), and the University of Da Nang (UD), to improve their academic quality, enhance institutional governance, and enable them to serve as models of modern higher education throughout Vietnam.
The partnership will drive socio-economic development by benefitting more than 200,000 students and equipping them to thrive in an increasingly competitive global market.
The partnership will work to achieve three objectives for the universities, including increasing sustainability and autonomy, improving academic quality, and strengthening research and innovation capacity.
The core activities will strengthen university governance and financial systems, provide faculty training in the design of state-of-the-art courses, facilitate research collaborations, expand research capacity, and develop guidelines and incentives for prosperous partnerships between universities and the private sector.
